Fun project of the day! Turbocharger replacement in this 2009 Audi A4 (B8). Turbos have found their way to mainstream engines, as they increase power and decrease gas consumption. They are also wear items - your turbo will eventually need to be replaced.

For Audis, we use only BorgWerner products. The most recent part numbers have a supercession - meaning that the original design has been updated for better performance, reliability, or both. 

This is also a great time to replace turbo lines and gaskets. While we're in the engine, we look for other parts that are known to fail in the Audi 2-liter TFSI engine, such as the camshaft bridge, some of the timing components, the water pump, thermostat, or timing covers. Before we let the turbo spin to life, we also use the excellent #liquimolyusa Turbo additive.
